Chuck Matthews joins Benztown via the "Northcoast of America", Cleveland, OH.  

Realizing early on that Chuck wasn't gonna make the cut in the NFL, even though having been a two time all league linebacker for the semi-pro Cleveland Lions, he thought he'd turn his love of music into a career....or suffer in the salt mines beneath Lake Erie.

Chuck honed his production skills at  legendary rock WMMS-FM Cleveland and multiple Marconi winning classic hits WMJI-FM Cleveland - under the tutelage of Mitch "Uncle Buck" Todd, the longtime Creative Director for SiriusXM – before setting off on his own to image stations in Raleigh, Altanta and Detroit, among others.  Chuck's career has also had him sit in the programming chair for classic hits WTRG/Raleigh NC and talk WTOD/Toledo.

 Today – Chuck can be heard as the signature voice of The Triad Sports Network, Greensboro NC -  Chuck recently became the Voice of the first FM talk in Alaska, KOAN  – Plus a slew of other sports talk  and new-talk stations as well as country and HAC.. Chuck has been the voice of sports WGHB/Pirate Radio Greenville NC since 2003.

Chuck has done narration and national television and radio work for Hercules Tire & Rubber, Matco Tools, Inc, Mt. Shasta Spring Water, The NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, Infocision Marketing, The Pro Football Hall of Fame, Atlanta Dragway and  Hendrick Motorsports. Chuck has been the voice and producer for The Ultimate Doo Wop Show and Super Sixties Spectacular concert tours.since 2005.

 Chuck's deep, powerful, energetic delivery is perfect for NT/S, Rock and Country, yet can change gears and "lighten" his voice to be versatile enough for AAA, CHR and Alt Rock. Chuck takes direction very well. Even won an award in high school for "Most Coachable"..... we think it's because they felt bad for him and made up an award. Regardless, Chuck delivers the goods.
